The Atkinson Centre for Society and Child Development
The Atkinson Centre works to build societal supports for young children and families through university-community collaborations, graduate/professional training and research. During the last year there have been numerous activities in each of these thrusts, as well as new efforts to engage more university faculty in the efforts.

A joint position statement from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and the National Association of Early Childhood Specialists in State Departments of Education (NAECS/SDE) has been developed to address questions about early childhood curriculum, child assessment, and program evaluation.
This site provides an opportunity to view American policies on early child development at the state level and to compare the various policies.
The Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD) has developed this site because they believe that children deserve an education that emphasizes academic rigor as well as the essential 21st-century skills of critical thinking and creativity.
